About the Book: Parallel Footsteps

This book describes how a sense of dissatisfaction can lead to processes of change, transformation and the awakening of consciousness.

Ingerid is at a crossroads in life. An interaction with a fellow student starts a snowball effect of life changing decisions that takes her through one uncomfortable incident after the other until she eventually accepts the unknown future as a friend and finds herself at the end of one journey and the beginning of another.

Elise doesn’t want to realise she’s at a crossroads in life. She struggles against her own revelations and holds on for dear life to her usual thought processes and familiar world, until the denial becomes too painful and slowly breaks her down to a point where she can’t help but seeing the change she needs to make.

This book portrays the emotional and psychological challenges and struggles two women go through when embarking upon changing who they are and how they view the world in order to become who they really want to be.

If you find yourself at the beginning of tasting a different view of the world and the life you’re living, this book might be a comforting friend. Especially if you find that nobody else around you understands you. Through this book, you might discover and recognize certain thought processes that I hope will reveal to you that you’re not alone. And through connecting with this book, we’ll be able to connect and share these processes together.

Your friend,
Jenny Lane
